Dazzling white light. Think HID or Sodium lamps. But of course you need them to replace something like that. Which brings up my next question: They don't fit. This only really makes sense if you have standard protruding open lamp sockets. The flexibility of the wings helps place them close to nearby surfaces, but they don't work in most flush or flush mount applications. They really only work where the bulb is exposed and not protected. The environments I can imagine are exactly the environments where other lightbulbs would need to be protected.
