Review on Goplus Electric Fuel Pump 12V - High-Speed 10GPM Diesel, Bio Kerosene, and Oil Transfer Extractor by Kyle Cross

So I've had this pump for exactly one year now. First positives: everything arrived as expected, fitted, bought a good hose and filler and it worked great pumping out confident hits with an old rotary hand pump. For context, I don't use this pump often, just to pump the remaining fuel from the 55 gallon drums back into my 1000 gallon main diesel tank if there's any left over after shutting down the various tractors and generators. Well, I'd say I've pumped 500 gallons of fuel through this pump in more than one session in a year. Well yesterday I pumped out the barrel and filled the tractor with about 15 gallons and the engine seemed very hot and then all of a sudden the wires caught fire, a small fire started on top of the diesel fuel barrel! Well, looks like the engine just died. I don't know what the warranty is on this product but would be shocked if it was longer than 90 days. For what I paid I think it worked well, but buying a new one every year costs more than a well made filter. So if you only need it for a few jobs it's great, but don't count on it to last a long time!
