Used this on a 2000 Johnson binnacle so the kill switch lanyards would not stay on. The eyelets on the derailleur are worn causing the lanyard to fall off during operation without stopping the engine. Several straps have been tried without success. Due to mandatory kill switch laws and active lanyard wear, a working kill switch is mandatory. This new switch works just like the original one.
