The one I have is tearing my screws off!

Suspension bolts are stripped as the threads do not go through the barrel. Even if you hand-drive 5/16-inch steel screws into a large pilot hole in soft pine, this tool will strip the thread as it pushes the screw into the unthreaded portion of the barrel, leaving a strong, well-placed steel dowel that must be removed with heavy pliers. You can tighten 5/16" bolts yourself by tightening the two opposing nuts on the end of the bolt and using a socket wrench in place of this tool. However, the tool is made of good quality steel and if designed properly will last a very long time, I might just have just a broken one?
