Pan head screws are terrible

I wish I had noticed these are pan head screws. What a terrible idea. These must be at least Phillips screws. Trying to drive them into the aluminum, the bit slipped off so many times that I scratched my hand in half a dozen places. I wish I had gone to Laws and bought Phillips sheet metal screws.
