Suitable for dogs with severe anxiety

The dog we adopted from the shelter came in a bit scared, her previous owners kept her in a kennel for over 12 hours a day so understandably she didn't like being there boxes, but we were willing to work with her. The first kennel we gave her was cheap and she quickly learned to run away. We bought this kennel hoping it would be better maintained and it has worked! It took a lot of time and patience, but now she is leaving voluntarily. However, there are a few things to consider. First, although it comes with a plastic tray, it's under the bars so it's important to have pillows and blankets there to keep the dog from sleeping on the metal bars. I understand why they have this crate design if it's for dogs that chew on the litter box, but I think it's something to consider before buying. Secondly, the assembly presented some problems. The two smaller bars on the sides were moved to a position that prevented us from installing the top gate. We were able to fix it but it took us a while to figure out what was wrong with it and we considered returning it as we thought it was faulty. And finally, if your dog can run away and understands how to get out of the cage, it should be renamed the Houdini. I don't see any way a dog could figure that out. One good thing that has helped us in teaching our dog not to hack on doors to get out is throwing him from above first, it will be more difficult for them to understand how the lid works and they won't over it think what's going on. Door. Later you can teach them how to use the door once they sleep comfortably there.
