Review on EBC Brakes DP61747 6000 Series Greenstuff Brake Pads for Trucks and SUVs by Wayne Espinoza

The stopping power of these pads is impressive. This is a significant improvement over standard pads. Note, however, that this stopping power comes at a price. As mentioned in many reviews, these pads produce a significant amount of black brake dust. I can handle it. Be prepared to check and replace these pads frequently. My Nissan SUV has clocked 152,000 miles. I replaced the stock pads at 70k and there was probably 20% pad wear left. Replacement seals were ceramic-thermo-Leise-Wagner. They ran great but I needed more stopping power so I set the EBC Greenstuff pads to 137K. After a year and 15,000 miles, these pads were completely worn out. That totally surprised me. I have a metal on metal situation with a destroyed rotor. Since I will no longer own this car, I am going back to the OEM style pads.
