Review on ๐Ÿ† Superior Performance Ensured: Continental 49280 Accu-Drive Tensioner Assembly by Noe Miceli

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect for OEM

Received and installed today on my 2004 Envoy XL 4.2L. Whoever had this truck before me must have replaced it with a Dorman model. I thought I was wrong because they look different (the slot for the tension release ratchet is in a different place). I sat down at the computer and made sure it was the right one, so I thought what the heck could I try. This one is identical to the OEM and works great. At the same time I installed the new belt and had to watch the video for a clue on how to get enough play to install the new belt. The trick is to remove the belt from the alternator and place the tube on the ratchet in the tensioner, it has a lot more "kickback" than it feels with bare hands. With that hint, the job took about 10 minutes.
