Used in Kia Forte 2013

I wanted to have a rearview mirror with an LCD display, reminiscent of a regular mirror. I've looked at the ones that you just attach to an existing mirror, but they weren't my style; even if they are more in my price range. I have a 2013 Kia Forte5 and was able to easily remove the existing mirror with a torx driver and this new one installed in 10 minutes - that would be 5 minutes but it comes with 2 stickers on the back and when I applied them it took a while off, there was a bit of residue I had to clean up. It measures approximately 10 3/4" wide, 3 1/4" tall, and 2" deep, not including the mounting arm. It's slightly larger than my standard mirror, but my standard mirror doesn't have an LCD screen, so it makes sense to that it's larger. used to create a mirror that also has a viewable LCD screen behind it. I love that it comes with an Allen wrench to make tightening easier, as well as a cable cover so you can do that Can't see wires when it goes through the headliner I would say it took me about 2 hours total after opening it to fit the ring and socket/pin connectors , install an extra fuse in the fuse box , route the cables, tie the cables, remove and reinstall the A-pillar, etc. Although not installed yet, I connected a reversing camera that I bought: Eskyยฎ EC170 -11 The smallest HD- Color CCD ca mera of the world waterproof car backup camera, 170 degree viewing angle backup camera. Size: 0.86*0.65*0.50 inch (without guide version). camera cable. The picture was sharp - a bit blotchy, but I hope it's just because I didn't have a proper power supply. Install the mirror but also route the wires, attach the wires to my fuse box, remove the A-pillar and create a neat setup: Mini ATR Add a fuse (depending on your car and where you get power want) shrink wrap (various sizes) ring terminals 16-14 (the wire is actually smaller but that's what I had and I used shrink wrap to hold it in place) 16-14 male/female wire strippers needle nose pliers terminal wrench Phillips screwdriver Flathead screwdriver Allen key, torx screwdriver (depends on how your current mirror is installed - mine requires torx) lighter, lighter, this looks like a long list, but some items are unique to your car and also how you fit it want - I chose more professional way with ring and male / female RS connector and shrink wrap, but this o allowed e me to put all the connectors inside and then just connect them outside instead of trying to fit butt connectors in 100 degree heat while working in a small space. With daily use, I will report on the durability of the product, day and night driving, and the auto-brightness feature.
