Review on 🛠️ Ryobi 030157001018 Sander Backing Pad: A Quality Addition to Enhance Sanding Efficiency by Tyler Markham

I bought this pad for my Craftsman random orbit sander (model #315.116211) to convert it to a velcro system. Although it matches the same hole and screw pattern, the shallower holes for the plastic pins on the Ryobi Sander sander weren't deep enough, so when I tightened the screws the plastic pins on the Craftsman sander smashed a bit. I used a drill press to drill large deep holes in the sole of the Ryobi Sander to accommodate the wider (broken) pins and it fitted perfectly. A little more effort, but it was worth it. Haven't sanded anything with it yet but it seems to be of good quality and I don't expect any problems. I would suggest checking how the sander's plastic pins fit into the pad before fully tightening them.
