Review on Kuryakyn 7137 Gloss Black Trunk Luggage Rack with Tie Down Points for Harley-Davidson Motorcycles (1980-2019) Tour-Pak by David Dugas

This rack looks great on my Tri Glide. Leather Up's service was above average. Received in two days. All parts are included, installation instructions are good. I have to admit that drilling holes in my trunk for the installation made me sick. The old saying "measure seven times and cut once" didn't apply to me. It was more like measuring 40 times and drilling once. To be honest it scared me to death! My wife's cloth tape measure from her sewing kit worked best, but with all the creases on the trunk, you can still get close enough. One thing that happened to me was that the threads on the rack weren't 100%. I believe that after the chrome plating process the threads were somehow over coated and the bolts didn't go into the two uprights of the steering knuckles. I had a 1/4" 20 faucet, I cleaned all the threads and after that it worked fine. I had to raise one hole slightly to get the right angle. It would be better if two people checked the position of the rod on the stem Getting the stand exactly where you want it and drawing on tape is a bit tricky, but maybe I'm just not coordinated enough!
