I drove on one pair of former LXs for nine years before upgrading to current LX2s; the only difference in their behavior is that the noise they produce is far higher. I should not have bought it because the tire buzz is really irritating when I travel on the highway at speeds of 110 to 120 kilometers per hour (I just got back from a trip to the south on the M4). Some pros: Moderately gentle. Irregularities are allowed through normally, despite the fact that I have a high size 215x65R16. On a typical road, maneuverability, braking, rut stability, and rolling are not affected by the weather in any way. They behave wonderfully in slush when the temperature is -5 degrees Celsius (this altered during the thaw in March, although there was still a cold spell with snow). Weights a maximum of 40 grams and has excellent balance. Different disadvantages: as soon as the asphalt gets at least a little worse than ideal, and at speed (well, as at speed - immediately more than 100 kilometers per hour), they produce a dreadful noise. When I found out that the radio in my Tiguan needed to be turned up significantly louder in order to hear conversation in a normal manner, I took instant notice of the change. The protector is a demon who collects hellish stones, however the amount of noise they make does not increase as they amass more stones. Rubber may have some off-road capability, but it cannot be handled at all in liquid mud. The drainage of water is questionable; when driving at high speeds through puddles, I experienced complete loss of control on several occasions.
