I didn't have any spare change - just wanted to point out a few things to hobbyists like me. First, they are perfect for a standard oven. They don't weigh too much (only 0.5 inches thick) and are easy to store away when not in use. I've seen video tutorials on YouTube on how to season a pizza stone with oil. Please don't do that! The oil burns at high temperature and produces a large amount of toxic smoke that smells bad. home for a few days. I didn't know how to stop the smoke and it was like lighting a large torch - until I finally got the stones out of the house to cool off. Obviously I ended up throwing out the bricks and ordering new ones. Second warning - some have indicated that cleaning the stones requires washing with dish soap. This is a big mistake as the stone absorbs the soap and releases it every time you use it. Clean with water only and allow to dry before use to avoid cracking due to high temperature. natural change.
