I had problems at the beginning but I got it working in the end.
When I connected it to the iPhone 8 for the first time, I didn't want to connect. My IP address was not found. I went to my computer, got my physical IP address and entered it manually. Then it connected. It connected to my iPad immediately without entering my IP address. I ran about 20 speed tests on each. On my iPhone 8, my WiFi is about 20% faster at over 100 Mbps. And the ethernet worked at about 80Mbps. My iPad is about two to three years older and for some reason I've never been able to connect it to wifi that fast. My iPad actually ran a bit faster on the Ethernet port at around 80Mbps.
