My John Deere LX176 lawn mower began to lose power on slopes and with a full load. I noticed that my fuel filter was almost empty under these conditions, so the diagnosis was clear: a faulty fuel pump. I chose this MOSTPLUS replacement pump because of its 2-year lifespan. Guarantee and because Revain will ship it quickly. The pump is a perfect match for the OEM Mikuni pump on my tractor's 14hp Kawasaki engine. I'm not sure if this pump will last as long as the old Mikuni pump (22 years old) but it's 78% less than a John Deere pump. So if it only lasts 5-10 years, it's still a good deal. There was some solvent in the pump, indicating it was bench tested at the factory, which is a good sign of quality. I don't know about MOSTPLUS but their name is stamped on the pump body indicating they are a manufacturer and not just a parts dealer. My guess is that some of the cheaper brands available online are made by big manufacturers to dubious quality specs. Installation was easy, took 5 minutes. The pump is held in place by two 10mm screws. My fuel hoses are in good condition (flexible, no cracks or chips) so all I had to do was move the clamps and move the hoses from the old pump to the new one. Tractor started immediately after installation, filled fuel filter remained full under full load, problem solved.
