and its central leader lines and numbers are easy to read even with my poor eyesight

Very well done and the picture doesn't match this light. It has positive locks on the back set every 1/8th of an inch, it's solid and very heavy, and its center guides and numbers are easy to read, even with my poor eyesight. I should have bought the full set of 1/2" and 1/4" dowel guides instead of just the 3/8" set. I ended up buying them from JessEm and it cost me an additional $25 but I'm still very happy with my purchase. There are some YouTube videos by JessEm that show usage and are worth watching.
