I don't often write reviews, only for products that I find exceptional. This is one of them. Like other people, I was very skeptical about an electric fireplace, mainly because of what it can look like. I have a custom sized fireplace (33"X 21") that doesn't have most inserts. The Dimplex DFI2310 was a model that fit the space easily, so I bought it (also based on the good reviews). It arrived in three days, well packaged, and I unpacked it, plugged it in, and got it up and running in less than 15 minutes. It's important to note that the near-realistic look of the logs and fire is beautiful. I leave the heat low (don't really expect the heat to do anything in my open living room with high ceilings) and turn it on when I'm home. On dark winter days it created a warm atmosphere which I love very much. The construction is solid and I can't imagine what could go wrong other than the LEDs dying after a few years. Worth the price!
