In September 2017 my cat disappeared. It came out on the street and one of my neighbors grabbed it and gave it to a relative who lived 40 miles from me. I didn't understand it at first, but due to some strange circumstances I had a pretty good idea of where it was. After 4 months of non-stop searching and posting, this person finally called me and gave me my cat back. I'm surprised I turned down the $1,000 reward I was offered. He is a purebred Bengal. I bought this collar and enough in the ground fence to cultivate an acre of land. It took me about 2 weeks to train him and now he's leaving the house and I'm not worried about him. He knows where the limit is and will not approach it. I'm amazed at how smart he is. There are a couple of spots in the house to one side, near the wire, and he knows not to enter that part of the house with a collar. But once the collar is off, he knows he can go there safely. I am prevented from going outside with his collar off. I was disappointed with the batteries for this collar, they drained too quickly. I ordered the recommended replacement batteries and they were no better, so I carefully removed the ends of the battery case and replaced the batteries with Energizer batteries of the same type. Now a battery lasts 2-3 months.
