Review on Bondhus 10687 7-Piece Balldriver Screwdriver Set with ProGuard Finish, 1.27mm-5mm Sizes by David Herman

I bought these primarily to work with my Traxxas RC cars. I love the variety of sizes and that it has all the sizes I need to work with my RC car. Spherical ends are very useful for off-axis screws. But that's where the highlights end. The three sizes I use the most, or all, are pretty much reduced. The smallest size I use is for the grub screw that needs to tighten the gear on the RC motor's output shaft. If the set screw is not tightened, the gear will slip and destroy the plastic gear holding it. I think tightening that set screw is too much to ask of this kit. The smallest size is now fully stripped. #1.5 only loosens half of the screws I try to use it on. but usually only ruins the screw head. #2 only seems to have problems every now and then. But it's only a matter of time before it all becomes garbage. Most screws on an RC are plastic, there's no reason there's enough torque to knock out a hex. I bought an RC that had the "updated" set of hex bolts already installed. I gradually replaced them with Phillips head screws. For me it is a difficult path. This set is highly acclaimed and famous in the RC community. I haven't seen a way to use them for anything other than light work. There are also much cheaper alternatives. I found it easier to use the small L-shaped allen wrenches that came with the Traxxas RC.
