Like many others, I first bought the GP77759 hoping it would stop the leak. It's not like this. I cleaned the brass contact surface on the back of the case with Scotchbrite and damp 1200 grit sandpaper. It was still dripping. So I broke down and bought this device to replace the GP500520 that came with the device. This fixed my leak. 800820 is a direct replacement for 500520. I'm glad I didn't have to cut drywall or pallets to remove some of the tiles. Shouldn't the tile next to the shower controls be in some sort of removable case/mount. it would make too much sense.
