Reliable drive, good speed and support

First of all I have to say that this drive looks sleek and well built. The case is brushed aluminum, there's no extra space around the drive (meaning there's no rattling inside). All ports are securely fastened and don't seem fragile at all. I installed a 2TB drive in a USB 3.0 slot on an Ubuntu 20.04 machine and it showed up right away with no issues. It was originally formatted with exFAT. A 2TB drive shows that it has a total of 2,000,398,934,016 bytes after partition table overhead, meaning it's actually closer to the legitimate 2TB (2,199,023,255,552 bytes) rather than just 2 trillion bytes (2,000,000,000,000) like many other hard drives. In the Gnome Disk Utility test with 1000 x 10 MB samples, the drive showed an average read speed of 112.9 MB/s and an average access time of 18.04 ms, which is pretty good performance for an external drive. For comparison, a 2TB 7200rpm Seagate internal hard drive connected to a SATA 6Gbps port has an average read speed of 166.1MB/s and an average access time of 15, 76ms. I'm pretty sure that if I plugged this AIOLO drive into a native USB-C (USB 3.1) port, I could get performance somewhere between that of an internal traditional hard drive and a budget SSD , which is impressive. for outside. Overall I would say that this drive is a rock solid performer and barring any unexpected failures or catastrophic data loss in the future I believe it will become a staple of my storage.
