Review on Tekonsha 2024 07 S Heavy Maintenance Charger by Quinton Dawon

uses a Tekonsha 2024-07-S at 12V DC to charge a 12V lead acid battery for approximately 1 year onboard my 2008 Prius . Was reliable. Generates very little body heat. The battery is undamaged. Updated 02/15/2020. It still works perfectly. It keeps the sealed lead-acid battery charged with every ride. In my initial review, I overlooked the fact that this product has an input range of 9-16 VDC. Even at 9.0VDC it still supports a 12V battery (with a charging voltage of 14.1VDC. The input current is rated for a maximum of 2.0A, but I measured the input current (not the cranking current) myself when the charger is fully discharged. The battery and input current was 1.5 amps maximum. When the battery is almost full, the input current gradually decreases to less than 25-40 milliamps. I bought a second one for other use cases and will be making more Buy as projects come about Great product.
