I replaced my old pliers with Knipex or Channellock. (right now everything is either red or blue) Channellock is made in the USA and is a good brand. I really like the quality of their instruments. Knipex is slightly more expensive and is made in Germany. Knipex has more positions to choose from and this is possibly the biggest benefit of using them. I ended up buying these and the Knipex version of these 10 inch pliers. You can't go wrong with either one. They are both excellent choices. The offset design helps you reach places you otherwise couldn't reach with flat-nosed pliers.
