You get what you pay for. Also instructions on how to disassemble the compressor if it fails.

I bought this to paint the Flames of War miniatures and scale model kit. I wanted something good enough to paint camouflage stripes on miniatures but not too expensive. The point is, you get what you pay for. This is a complete airbrush setup that costs less than half the price of a Badger or Iwata airbrush. It takes a special kind of stupidity to think that you can get the same quality for half the price. I've had the brush for a year now and here are the pros and cons: Pros: - Pretty decent handling. With a little practice I was able to get nice camouflage lines on my miniatures. I was also able to achieve good opacity when painting large areas. The most common colors I've used are Vallejo Model Air, Vallejo Model Color and Testor's Model Master. - Compactness. The compressor is very small and takes up little space on my desk.- Quiet. Cons: - Not very good out of the box. I had to clean the needle after several YouTube tuning videos before getting good results. - Date fruit. Model Master paints spray perfectly right out of the can. Vallejo Model Air was fine. Vallejo Model Color was VERY good or bad depending on the color. It definitely needed to be thinned down a bit, and some of the shades just didn't match. - The compressor died almost the next day after a year. I suspect the soldering of the wires was breaking up due to vibration. However, there is no way just opening it, looking inside, which is very frustrating. Again, this complete airbrush kit costs less than half what other companies charge for the compressor alone, so I can't say I'm overly surprised. UPDATED: You can open the compressor, although it's not entirely obvious. On the back of the compressor you will see a pattern of 3 horizontal lines with triangles at each end. Pick up the compressor at this point and the back cover will slide off. This will reveal two tiny Phillips screws. delete them Finally, remove the Master Airbrush sticker from the right side of the case. This reveals another Phillips head screw. After all three screws have been removed, the housing should be able to be opened carefully. On the front there are a couple of clips above and below the on/off switch. I opened mine and sure enough one of the wires to the motor broke.
