Review on Dee Zee DZ43102 Tailgate Assist by Andrew Jones

Just installed today and it works great and took less than an hour. I had a small problem with the threaded insert that caused it to expand, the insert kept turning. After several attempts with pliers, I calmed down, opened and held the thread perfectly. The kit includes a thrust bearing to help install the threaded insert, which is very convenient. One reviewer complained about the cord dangling from the tailgate, but I didn't have that issue. Also a few reviews bothered me because it didn't open after installation but mine worked fine. It slows down the tailgate opening as advertised and looks very durable. So I hope it lasts. I've attached a video of the tailgate being lowered with the cylinder holding it and some photos.
