I used this to run power lines from the basement to the top floor of the house. This bit length/size is ideal for running two Cat5e wire lines down the hole. I removed the bottom trim on one wall, cut a 12" hole in the drywall, and used a short spade to drill a 1/2" hole in the base of the wall. I then drop the drill into the newly created hole where it rests on the wall below. I attach the drill to the drill, make sure it's plumb, and drill a hole. Lasts seconds. The height of my truss cavity is about 10 inches and runs through the TJI-210 trusses. Now stretch the lines with fishing tape. Too easy, except for the drywall repair part.
