I'm a bit of a cleaning freak and the fine dust produced when sanding drywall/gypsum is my biggest enemy. In years past I would just grab whatever vacuum cleaner I could find at my local big store and get frustrated with their inability to remove drywall dust. Then I decided to do a little research and this vacuum showed up on a couple of DIY sites as reliable drywall vacuums, so I gave it a try. I took the extra step of ordering a fine filter to fit this unit and got it up and running the first day of delivery. The thing sucks up fine dust without any problems. I only had to go through the sections once and best of all there was no fine dust ejection from the rear. Not only did it suck up the dust with minimal effort, but it also kept all the dust in the bin. The cord is a good length which made my life easier and the attachments made the vacuum so versatile that I ended up using it for everything from rooms to stairs. For me the device was a bit heavy and awkward to handle alone when I needed to transport it from the top floor to the bottom floor (and vice versa) and I never found a good way to coil the cord, but despite that, I love this one vacuum cleaner still. I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a vacuum that can handle the finest dust.
