Unfortunately this kettle does not work. It is absolutely beautiful and feels very well made. I fell in love when I opened the box. However, I did not make this purchase as a decoration. The functionality of the kettle is abysmal. In order to pour hot water, the kettle has to be held at a very awkward angle. Even at this awkward angle, the water doesn't come out in a jet, it just squirts into your cup, making a huge mess. I don't want to think so much about pouring hot water. I think it's a safety issue and I'll be back. I really wanted to love his teapot, but I need something that not only looks good but works well too.
