Much better than AmScope's 80 LED ring and much cheaper. Some have complained that the ring is plastic and yes , it seems cheap but then it is cheap The screws that attach it to your scope go in the black ring that you see in the picture This ring must match your scope or you will have problems, this ring with led The screws cannot be overtightened as you will break the plastic they are screwed in. This black ring has a groove cut around the edge so all you have to do is tighten the ring to get the screws into the grooves get they don't have to be very strong to hold them so maybe people who could' who didn't use the ring or didn't try to use the ring had the most problems with this ring of light the 80th -LED ring from AMScope has been placed The line is an image from the camera. The sad thing is their tech support couldn't help me get rid of this line so the ring was defective and I had to return it. AMscope made me pay for the return shipping, shipping cost me $15. It was heavy due to the metal control box. AMScope has some pretty shady business practices, so be careful when shopping. Returning defective products should never cost buyer money for return shipping. At AMScope, you pay to return defective products.
