I have a Ram 2500. So I tore between this cover and the cover without the raised portion to make it easier to remove. I chose this because I didn't want to struggle to get the cap off (after reading reviews of another cap that seemed to be the main issue). After putting this cap on and off I'm not sure if the extra money I paid for this cap is really worth it, but then I haven't used any other cap and there was no problem using them take off or put on. it's on. In winter when I wear gloves I will be very glad I bought this one and no other! (Just a thought if you live in a frigid climate). I also found it interesting that this cap came with a "thinner O-ring" in the box that was not mentioned in the insert. I don't think it's necessary and I would be afraid that the cap would fall off when I use it. It seems to fit exactly as it is. At the same time, the lid itself makes a well-made and solid impression. Now I don't have to worry about something getting into the diesel tank that shouldn't be there, like filling up and spilling or washing the truck, because I realized that water actually got into the tank. in the fuel filler flap (which sent me looking for something similar). The magnet keeps the cover securely in place when removed. Very happy with my purchase. It doesn't look like I'll ever need to replace this item. (if I don't lose)
