Generally a good counter, BUT there are disadvantages: 1. A fully automatic design (no rotary switch) can confuse resistance and voltage in at least some circuits (sorry, I can don't remember the type of circuitry). This would not be the case with the rotating volt and ampere scales and the auto range of these scales. If you have a 1 ohm current sense resistor and try to measure the voltage across it, the meter will give a (not necessarily correct) reading for a short time and then turn off thinking it sees a short. This also happens when the resistance is much greater than 1 ohm.3. The meter only has a 10A scale and will not return a reading at <240mA. I applied 8V into 33 ohms and got a reading of 240mA; no reading at 47 ohms (117 mA) or more. So don't expect to measure low mA or uA.4. I know the price of auto shut off. However, I find it rather annoying. I take the probes and place them on the measurement point, but find that the counter is off and I have to press and hold the button to continue.
