Review on πŸ“ž AT&T CL84202 Dual-Handset Corded/Cordless Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting by Kathryn Brown

Long range cordless/cordless phone

We used it to replace our old AT&T brand wireless phone system and I'm very happy with the results. We fixed it to the wall in the kitchen and hung two cordless phones in other rooms of the house. This phone system has a lot of great features including the fact that you can register more phones and even two headsets if you need to add any. It does vocal and visual caller id so it tells you what caller id is so you can tell who is calling if you decide to take the call rather than forwarding it to a recorded voicemail. There are two things. I think a wall mount could be better. First, my old AT&T phone system had a separate wall mount plate so we could screw that plate firmly into the phone jack on the wall and then securely mount the phone to the wall mount plate. It doesn't have a separate wall-mount plate, so you'll need to line up the screws in the phone wall jack with the bottom of the unit, meaning you'll have to loosen the screws a bit to get it to fit, making the mount a bit looser overall. Second, if you're mounting this on a phone wall jack, you really only need a very short phone cord going from the wall to the phone. It would be nice to have a very short cable as an alternative to a long one; Since we only had the long one, we had a lot of trouble getting it properly into the back of the device and not getting in the way of wall-mounting the phone.

Pros
  • even old fashioned people can understand
Cons
