📞 AT&T CL84202 Dual-Handset Corded/Cordless Answering System with Caller ID/Call Waiting Review

We received this model with two handsets and chargers. One of the chargers lasted just over 8 months. The speakerphone volume of the handset is not acceptable for my hearing-impaired husband with a hearing aid. I will definitely not switch a dead charger out of my pocket. I replaced the battery in my phone and the device just won't charge. I do not recommend.

Received a few days ago. Many functions and everything works according to the instructions. Excellent manual. Very easy installation. Good WiFi coverage. Good voice quality and volume. The quality of the voice notification ID is satisfactory. The display is large, the characters are very large, but they're made up of crude old-fashioned LCD segments. I keep my wireless devices in chargers so they are always fully charged. Build quality is good overall, but not as solid as older ATT models.

This kit is easy to set up, the display is nice, big and bright. However, the sound quality is very poor. For seniors, sound quality is very important, especially its clarity. So if you're buying it for someone who will seriously benefit from large buttons and a display, be aware that the sound can be a deal breaker. Some other models and brands also offer additional features like call blocking, which is a bonus for people of all ages.

The phone is difficult to use. I have had many cordless phones in my life and this one is counterintuitive. Redial is a puzzle to work properly.
