Review on Ford Door Latch Cable Repair Kit for F-series, E-series, Ranger, Expedition, Excursion, Navigator - Repairs Eight Cables (6 Standard + 2 LOCKING CAM) by Isaac Tutt

Not a "direct " replacement, but does the job.

After paying nearly $500 to have a door repaired where the mechanic replaced the drive and wires, not just the ends, I decided to fix the next broken door myself. This adjacent door turned out to be the two rear cargo doors on my old Ford Econoline work truck. I'm not "mechanical" but can turn a wrench if necessary. These endings made it with some modifications as others have reported. This kit contains all the parts needed to repair the two rear cargo doors. There are several videos on You Tube that will walk you through the process. I used a 1/8" bit to relieve the slot where the cable exits at the end and a flathead screwdriver and hammer to open the slot to let the cable in. Make sure that after cutting the old plastic end of the cables, the new one is fully inserted and installed. Take your time and you will save a lot of money. Enjoy!
