The base of the lightbulb is slightly shorter than the original and has a slightly smaller diameter so all I had to do was press the socket and play with the Arrangement so that the pins snap into the socket in the right place so that it lights up and does not slip back. In the last 5 or 6 months since purchase I have used a third lamp. This is an LED lamp. The LED bulb should last for years, not a few months. They are much brighter/whiter than the bulbs the van came with but I would not recommend them and will never buy again due to the issues I have had with them. I personally think this is more of an internal heat related malfunction than a burn out of the LEDs themselves. Poor design and production.
