Although well made, the lightweight plastic causes unnecessary stress

There's nothing physically wrong with it, but it's excruciatingly slow to work with. The hook part is not very sharp. Its lightweight plastic causes far more tension to push awkwardly through each stitch and then stop when it's done. Does not help. I usually grab the hook much higher than where they place the fancy handle. It just doesn't suit me at all.
