Review on 🔒 Gates 31734 Pre-Release Locking Fuel Tank Cap: Secure your fuel tank with enhanced protection by David Gagnon

I bought this locking gas cap because my two tank truck already had a Stant lock cap. I think Gates is Stant. In any case, the old one still works perfectly, the new one was a DISPOSABLE product! Complete garbage. Replacement requested from Revain. The locking mechanism worked perfectly when used once. Now it jams and almost breaks the key, turn it clockwise 1/8 turn, then the cap is sometimes unscrewed. Pretty sure the key will break open in the lock very soon. UPDATE: 5/16/18 Replacing the gas cap worked properly ONCE. Now the key only turns 1/8 to 1/4 and it grinds, you also have to press hard on the cap and wiggle it to finally turn the full 1/4 turn and unlock. I think I'll soak it in teflon grease and store it. At least this "product" is complete garbage. Avoid that gas cap, try something else.
