Review on 🍾 1 Gallon Jug with Twin Bubble Airlock, Polyseal Lid & #6.5 Drilled Stopper: Secure Fermentation Essentials by Shawn Torres

I'm just getting started with home brewing and this was a great starter kit for my purpose. I've got a batch of mead brewing right now, but I know a few people who have used these 1 liter steins for small batches of beer as well. Everything came clean and without defects. The polyseal lid and double bladder airlock are a great addition. I was able to shake the jar with the polyethylene lid to mix everything together and fermented with a double bubble lock. Several reviews have complained that the Gateway is made of flimsy plastic and breaks easily, but I didn't find it fragile; Just use your common sense when working with this. The only reason I docked the star is because the rubber stopper tended to slip out when I put it in. Not sure if it was an issue with the cork itself or if it was user error (the cork and jar opening were wet). This is easily remedied by stretching a few thin strips of tape over the stopper to hold it in place. Since then I do not have problems anymore. I recommend this if you're looking for a way to brew in small batches or if you're learning how to brew at home. This is a very reasonable price for the items you will receive. I will most likely be buying another one soon.
