Review on Rheem Ruud Pole Contactor 42 25101 01 by Robert Prix

I am pleased to have found this contactor which is a good match for the single pole 25A contactor that blew on my Rheem heat pump. This contactor appears to be of better quality than the Siemens original for the following reasons: 1) The screw terminals for 220V lines are improved compared to the Siemens "single ended screw terminals". The fire occurred on the switch (pole) side as it must have come loose causing sparks/fire. 2) This contactor has a convenient push button bypass switch for testing whether the coil 24 is energized.
