The first two weeks was a great kettle! But then the bottom faded, I thought it was rusty or moldy. This was caused by pitting, a change in the metal plate from heat, small blisters that were visible on the bottom. I tried cleaning it with vinegar as instructed, but the pitting became evident within a day. Also, cleaning with vinegar left my water tasting like vinegar for two days, even after boiling it multiple times. When I first bought it it was excellent so I was sad to return it.
