Great ergonomic thermometer

Homendless digital thermometer seems useful for checking meat for accuracy. When I took it out of the box to check it out; it seemed a little strong. It weighs 5.3 ounces (150 grams), which is quite heavy compared to other electronic temperature sensors I've used. But for use it feels good in the hand. It comes with a small manual that provides information on how to use it. The instructions are pretty easy to understand. You can set the probe language to one of 7 different languages. On the paper, one page is in English and the other is in Spanish. Comes with a USB cable for charging. It has a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. The battery life is about 40 days as stated in the instructions. It didn't take long for me to charge it at first. There are 4 buttons on the front of the device and the directions don't accurately reflect them. Temperature decrease/increase buttons (also used to toggle between meat, poultry, turkey, hamburger, etc.). b. power button c. Temperature setting button (mode C or F) d. USB charging range Beef - medium, actual temperature 145. When you insert the probe into the food, there will be a beep when the selected temperature is reached. . However, if the food temperature is higher than the set temperature, the device will beep about every 30 seconds while the sensor is in the food. When the food temperature is over 200ยฐC, the display shows "HHHโ€ and flashes continuously. The device turns off automatically after about 5 minutes of inactivity. It takes about 3-5 seconds for the temperature to be displayed. It's also waterproof. So if you get it dirty, you can rinse it under the tap without affecting the device. The probe itself is 5.5 inches long. It is made of stainless steel and is easy to wash after each use. It opens 180 degrees and then folds back into the device for easy storage. It has 7 pre-programmed meat modes and 3 cooking modes. One of the downsides of this probe is that it's hard to see what the buttons are used for. The function is stamped on the rubber button, but it's completely black, so you can't really see what's on it. It would be better if the buttons were a lighter color or the embossed settings were a different color to help them stand out so you can see what they're used for (for those who have trouble seeing small objects). Just as the instructions say and it seems pretty accurate (within 2 degrees according to the manual). Comparing it to another device I have, it seemed accurate to me. I think this is a great thermometer that will not disappoint. I am happy with this purchase.
