Well I like the idea but apparently they're all pretty lame. You insert a plastic inner shell and then there are small holes that can be used to fill the space between the hard plastic shell and the silicone. This is inconvenient and wasteful. To be honest, that can't be avoided either, unless the holes become large slits. That would make filling easier. The instructions say very little about placing the unit horizontally to freeze, but if someone did, all the water would flow into their freezer! This ends up taking up more space than you would like. This silicone is very good quality and ice crunching is not a problem once you figure out how to pull out the inner sleeve. I'll use this occasionally, but probably only to chill my girlfriends' sodas. I doubt I'll buy one for each child as I thought...
