We have converted our very dilapidated porch screen into a comfortable and enjoyable place to relax. We purchased a 7ft x 10ft palm leaf indoor/outdoor rug for the living room. Because the privacy screen is exposed to the outside weather, the indoor environment may become very humid, dry, hot, cold, etc., which may affect the effectiveness of the tape. One side that was inside the innermost roll wanted to curl up, which could confuse everyone. I ordered a tape which was easy to apply to the rug and the rug stuck to the concrete floor no matter what the weather. The band hasn't passed the winter test yet, but I assume it will hold up well.
