This is one of those rare pieces of equipment that's built for the job and perfect for the job. Don't be fooled by the plain looks! This tool is simply the best: always-on, silent, photosensitive to perfection, allowing you to accurately diagnose multi-circuit wiring. No hassle with buttons, power switches and other things. Not only that, it has a built in battery check feature that you probably won't even notice! (When it's tapped it has a quick flash of light which gives you a quick way to check the battery before inserting it into the circuit. If it doesn't flash when tapped then the batteries are dead - BTW batteries last a really long time) even under everyday use) I've been using them daily for 12 years but I've only gone through a few over the years because they just work and work so well. This device is perfect! I've tried other branded devices over the years, but I keep coming back to this one. All my other voltage testers collect dust. Not to mention it's a ridiculously high value.
