Review on πŸ”§ Enhanced Axle Oil Seal by Omix-Ada - Model 16526.02 by Timothy Wall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Fits perfectly on the front axle 06 TJ Dana 30

Bought two of these for my 06 TJ Dana 30 diff. I installed a spartan lunch box locker, so I decided to replace the axle seals while I took the diff apart. I used a piece of pipe to puncture the old seals and clean the axle tubes as best I could. I deleted the seal area and then started to reinstall. As mentioned, they were *very* tight. I ended up having to get a little creative to install them. I put a gasket in the axle tube hole in the differential. Then I used a large coupler and placed it over the gasket by inserting a piece of tubing through the opposite axle tube and pressing down on the coupler. I basically pressed the new seals in by tapping on the pipe and pressing them into place. I would never push them in by hand, and the angle wasn't right to tap in with a rubber mallet or anything. The seals came in and looked good, but I could see why people might have trouble with them. I probably should have watched some YouTube videos for advice but luckily I got it before I had to call for help.
