This product's description states that it can detect 5G cell phone towers. Since the maximum frequency range on this device is 5 GHz, this is clearly not possible. Cellular 5G frequencies range from 40 to 60 GHz. Unfortunately, this device could not detect RF or EMF from a 2G/3G/4G cell phone unless active during a call. On the other hand, it was able to detect EMI from switches and outlets, TVs, microwave ovens, and WiFi devices. It's definitely not a professional device, but that's to be expected considering the very low price. A professional handheld RF/EM 5G cell meter (like Narda NMB-520 or WaveControl SMP2) costs around $3,500.
