Inaccurate and readings do not match

First, it's very difficult to connect it with bluetooth. Literally every time I tried to use it I had to add it again because it wouldn't connect automatically. Second, the readings are not accurate at all. I hold it close to my light source and it reads 800 ppfd and if I move it further it reads 1100 ppfd. Then I turned it off and tried again and got completely different readings. It also looks very cheap and is made of very thin plastic. I thought it was too good to be true for the price but realized that for $40 I must lose. If you're trying to get a rough idea of where your ppfd is, it's probably better than spending $600 on an Apogee gauge. But I wouldn't expect much from him.

Pros
  • Labor Savings. For example, with the FH-100 only one person, not two people, can check the illumination of a light source at different distances or different power levels.
Cons
  • Can't remember
