It's so simple, even a caveman can do it

First of all, you need to know that this 'Filter Set' only includes a filter and a bracket to attach to Keurig. It does not come with hoses or connectors. You can buy a kit that has everything here, or a trip to your local hardware store will get you everything else you need and probably for a lower price than the full kit here. The last option is what I did and followed another reviewer's great idea here to add a 3-way valve to flush the filter when replacing it. I have a fridge plumbing that I cut and put into a 3 way valve to connect. This results in a water valve where I can turn off the water for the entire unit if there is a leak or I need to make some other changes without having to turn the water off for everything again. Then it goes to the filter, from the filter to another 3-way, from the 3-way each line goes to a different valve. One valve connects to the inlet of the water tank and the other I can connect to another long piece of hose and run to the sink to rinse out the filter. You'll need to rinse the filter for about 5 minutes when you change it to remove the charcoal so you don't put it in your Keurig. Turn off the water tank valve, turn on the sink valve and let it run. Then turn around and off you go. This filter makes a big difference in coffee taste for me. It's worth getting and hooking up. If you like good coffee, start with pure water and you'll never drink coffee made with unfiltered water again.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • No insurance
