Review on πŸ”Œ Powerfully Efficient: Progressive Dynamics PD52V 5200 Series Automatic Transfer Switch - 240 VAC, 50 Amp by Larry Sabey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Perfect replacement - slightly different size

It has a slightly different footprint than my original 50A ATS so I was worried it wouldn't fit. It's slightly taller and narrower than a regular ATS, but about the same size. I ended up dropping the outside screw tabs and using the screw holes on the inside for a little extra clearance in my tight electrical bay. Please note: there are NO cable clips included so make sure you can reuse your old ones or go to the hardware store to get new ones. I ended up using 3x1" - they were a different size than my originals. I also installed (per the instructions) a jumper on the board to remove the 30 second switch as I use it for the inverter, which worked great jumper was not included but the one on my replacement oven board worked fine otherwise no major issues and NO hum, the picture is pretty poor but hopefully shows the difference in size between the original (left) and this one (right).

Pros
  • Tough heavy duty screw terminals ready to plug into contactor base
Cons
  • Requires socket
