Review on LG LM V600AM Unlocked P OLED DisplayTriple by Francisco Yim

Beautiful phone unnecessarily undermined by LG and AT&T

I'm one of the few people who still root their Android devices. When I bought this I knew that to my knowledge there was no way to root the US version of this phone and I just wanted to live with it and deal with it to have a flagship phone with a headphone jack and an SD slot for memory cards. That was until I received it and saw the disgusting amount of AT&T virus on that thing. I use Mint Mobile so I don't need the AT&T apps at all and am forced to use ADB commands to remove them from my phone. I'm not sure what exactly is missing from a component to be able to root US models because it's a mess to figure out when only 3 people bought the phone but for some reason an unlocked bootloader or required fastboot Orders are available for EU versions for a reason (hint: it's AT&T sweet money), they don't allow it for US models, and they don't even sell unbranded carrier models here. I'm not sure who this phone is for. People who just want the latest Android flagship will buy Samsung instead because despite Samsung's similarly locked and harassing phones, they really try to remind people that they exist. "Enthusiasts" like me who want an SD card slot and headphone jack will buy this and then get slapped with all the oiled AT&T palms to keep their trash bin full of junk apps and bootloaders locked lest they be easily removed and then can be avoided by LG in the future. All because LG's mobile division is still losing money. March 30, 2021: The screen stopped working while I was at work. I ordered a repair and they fixed it for free. LG factory reset it which I knew in advance and also updated the software which I didn't know was going to happen and cannot be undone. The problem is that they flash the updated firmware over the old one instead of just updating to the latest version. Now the operator is tied to AT&T even though I bought it unlocked. I haven't been able to use it since I returned it over a week ago as it asks for an unlock code every time I turn it on as long as I have a Mint Mobile SIM card. I've waited 8 days as I write this for AT&T to send me the requested unlock code which their website says it may take a few minutes or 2 days at most. So now I have to call them and ask the manager. Even if LG didn't sell and shut down their phone business soon, this would still be my last LG phone. I could put up with a dozen or so useless AT&T squatter rights apps on my phone like a junkie in an abandoned house, but being banned from using a phone I paid for in full makes my blood boil.
